[Only mods are allowed to see this image] After the recent increase of the number of claimed hacks we have launched a full investigation into the matter as we take this very seriously. While we have cleared the possibility of any database breaches we are concerned about the number of people claiming to have been hacked ESTsoft has also supplied information about a couple of hacked accounts on the Korean service, which they eventually traced back to scripts getting distributed via advertising banners on external websites, after which some accounts were compromised when they logged in. How to fix this? Firstly and most importantly, please ensure that your computer is completely and totally free of any malware and spyware. We recommend a full scan with an antivirus program such as Avast, Kaspersky, or similar, as well as scans with anti-malware programs such as Malwarebytes and Spybot S&D. After you have ensured that your computer is clean the next step would be to ensure that your account is secure, by changing your web and game account passwords, after which we also recommend changing the email used on your account as well as your security questions and answers.Guide on changing passwords and other security information Because we take this very seriously we are also making the following change to our current policy, whereby we will attempt to track and restore your items. If you believe yourself to be hacked please contact our Support Department and create a ticket in Account Support. Please include all the information you used to register the account (including your full name and date of birth) and we will proceed to investigate your case, and restore your items if possible. Important: · Make sure you have a good anti-virus installed · Regularly scan your computer for malware, and use a secure browser · Regularly change your passwords · Don’t use the same password across multiple games and services |
