About using two security softwares at the same time, it's not a good idea especially if you're using an old computer, because it'll eat up a lot of resources and they may be incompatible with one another. Regarding compatibility issues, some might be incompatible with others but some are not. Just try it out yourself (or Google it if those two are compatible), because I can't give you a definite answer as I only tried Norton and Avast! and there are no compatibility issues.
