How to Reset Canon PIXMA IP2770

Entering Service Mode
You have to enter in service mode in order to used the resetter. To do that follow this procedure,
Turn off the printer without pulling the power cords.
Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
Then Press Resume button 5 times then let BOTH buttons go.
You will notice that the Alternate Blinking error is gone, this means that the printer is in Service Mode state.

Using the Service Tool

Method 1: Clear Ink Counter Main

Load paper to the printer
Clear ink counter, select MAIN (1), wait for the printer to finish printing
Close Service Tool
Turn off printer (wait 10 seconds)
Turn on printer.
Printer ready for use
Method 2: Clear Ink Counter Main and Platen

Load paper to the printer
Clear ink counter, select MAIN (1), wait for the printer to finish printing
Clear ink counter, select PLATEN (2), wait for the printer to finish printing
Close Service Tool
Turn off printer (wait 10 seconds)
Turn on printer.
Printer ready for use
Method 3: Reset Ink Absorber Value Main

Ink absorber counter, select Main (1)
Counter value = 0% (2)
Click SET (3)
Close Service Tool
Turn off printer (wait 10 seconds)
Turn on printer.
Printer ready for use
Method 4: Reset Ink Absorber Value Main&Platen

Ink absorber counter, select Main&Platen (1)
Counter value = 0% (2)
Click SET (3)
Close Service Tool
Turn off printer (wait 10 seconds)
Turn on printer.
Printer ready for use

How to Reset your Canon MP287
“Canon MP287 printer should be in SERVICE MODE.”

Entering Service Mode
Turn the printer off (ON/OFF)
Press and hold the STOP/RESET
Press the Power ON/OFF
Remove the STOP/RESET (Note: power ON/OFF is still on hold
Press the STOP/RESET 6x and release the STOP/RESET and Power ON/OFF
The entered the Service Mode, all LED will stop blinking
Using Service Tool

Clear ink counter, select MAIN (1)
Click SET (2), wait for the printer to finish printing
Close Service Tool
Turn off printer (wait 10 seconds)
Turn on printer.
Printer ready for use

Ink absorber counter, select Main (1)
Counter value = 0% (2)
Click SET (3)
Close Service Tool
Turn off printer (wait 10 seconds)
Turn on printer.

Ink absorber counter, select Main&Platen (1)
Counter value = 0% (2)
Click SET (3)
Close Service Tool
Turn off printer (wait 10 seconds)
Turn on printer.
Printer ready for use
